Reading Comes Alive with Daily Five

In support of a previous grant that provided professional development, during which teachers attended a week-long workshop in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading and writing, this grant provided greater access to hands-on learning materials used in implementing this technique and the Daily Five. Glen Ridge aimed to meet the diverse educational needs of all students, encompassing variations in cognition, physical ability, and emotional development. The Daily Five fostered a student-driven learning environment in a flipped classroom, necessitating additional resources to enhance student learning. Engaging in multi-sensory mini-lessons helped improve attention, focus, and behavior during learning.
