Soft Starts for School Success

Third-grade students explored and participated in activities aimed at igniting enthusiasm, creativity, and social and emotional learning skills. Soft Starts allowed students to welcome the academic day by pursuing their curiosity through personal choice. Utilizing imaginative and exploratory tools such as STEM challenges, logic puzzles, and brain teasers, students sustained motivation and problem-solved with peers. This shift from a traditional start to the day allowed students to develop a natural curiosity and engagement for the remainder of the school day.
